Young Indian named Wildlife Photographer of the Year
14-year-old Udayan Rao Pawar, from Gwalior has been named the Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year by Britain's Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife magazine.
Shot with an entry level DSLR, his winning image was that of the endangered Gharial with her hatchlings titled ‘Mother's Little Headful’. It was selected among 43,000 entries submitted by photographers from around the world.
Udayan has won a £1,000 cash prize and classes with a reputed nature photographer to hone his skills.
